NewsRounds, or News Rounds, appeared in May 1963, as the newspaper of Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital. It was a continuation of the hospital's newsletter PS, which produced its final issue in April 1963. NewsRounds was published mostly monthly until 2004 when it began to appear quarterly.
In 1969, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukeメs Medical Center (RPSLMC) was created from the merger of the re-established Rush Medical College (which had closed in 1942) and Presbyterian-St. Lukeメs Hospital. Rush University was subsequently established in 1972. Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukeメs Medical Center changed its name to Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) in 2003.
